Jason Jackson confirmed to lead Nebraska Department of Administrative Services – Lincoln Journal Star
The Legislature confirmed Friday the appointment of Jason Jackson as director of the Department of Administrative Services.
Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Tom Brewer told senators Jackson had extensive experience in human resources and administration and is a proven leader.
“I agree with Sen. (Rick) Kolowski’s comments in our exec session that we are fortunate to have such a well-qualified individual for public service,” Brewer said.
No other questions or comments followed and senators voted 42-0 to confirm Jackson.
In November, Gov. Pete Ricketts fired state Director of Administrative Services Byron Diamond for how he handled a temporary employee who was mistreating female employees. Ricketts tapped Jackson to lead the agency in December.
